Grand-Turk

This pub was once part of a chain of boozers operated by Joseph and Lawrence Lawrence. They once controlled a small empire of pubs in Birmingham. An 1881 trade directory shows that, between them, they operated the Black Swan in Bromsgrove Street, the White Hart in Moseley Street, the Turk's Head in Lancaster Street, the Whittington and his Cat in Great Brook Street and the Dog and Partridge in Birchall Street.
