David Edge was the licensed victualler in charge of the Bell Inn during the 1860's and 1870's. Born in Rowley Regis in 1825, David Edge spent his teenage years living next to the Gunbarrel Works in Hayseech near Haden Hill. Along with his Birmingham-born wife Elizabeth, he had previously run The Queen in Bordesley's Adderley Street.
