Located between Audnam and Hawbush, this large pub is located on the corner of Oak Park Road and Lyndhurst Drive. The mock Tudor building takes its name from Oakfield House, the estate of which was used to create the housing estate and public house in the late 1930's. Oakfield House was once the home of John Hall, a firebrick and coalmaster who employed over 200 people. The 1881 census also listed him as the owner of a 180 acre farm - presumably Hawbush Farm.
