Some history of the Barley Mow on Great Russell Street at Hockley in Birmingham in Warwickshire
The Barley Mow was opened as a beer house and located on the western side of Great Russell Street, just south of Brearley Street.
The Barley Mow was later operated by Mitchell's and Butler's. The Cape Hill brewery were compensated for the licence when the tavern was closed in October 1911. The amount agreed upon was £1,450.

More information on the Barley Mow on Great Russell Street to follow. I probably created the page as I had a link to the Barley Mow from another page. When building the site it is easier to place links as they crop up rather than go back later on. I realise this is frustrating if you were specifically looking for information on the Barley Mow. There is information on Birmingham dotted around the website - click here for a suitable starting place.
