"Thieves who broke into a house under construction, opposite the Odessa Inn on the Gloucester Road last Thursday night, stole a bathroom
suite - bath, lavatory and wash basin - rolls of copper wiring and roofing felt to a total value of about £80. The house is being built for Mr. Graham
Jones, the Tewkesbury and Gloucester hairdresser. He and his wife live at Norton, and were hoping to move in just after Christmas. The theft was discovered when the
decorators arrived for work last Friday morning. The glass in the front door had been broken. Coombe Hill police are investigating the theft."
