"William Rogers, labourer, Soudley, waa charged with being drunk on the highway at Church Stretton, on November 30. P.S. Davey deposed that he found the defendant lying on the footpath in the Station Road, Church Stretton. He was drunk, and had to be assisted part of the way home. Defendant pleaded guilty, and as it was hia first offence, was let off on payment of the costs, 5s."
