The Rock In The Ocean Inn was a beer houselocated on the western side of Cheshire Street. I am not sure of the exact location but it was close to the Eagle Foundry marked on the map extract below.

William Wilks was the licensee until his death when his wife Jane took over the reins. She was later recorded at the Beast Market where she worked as a dressmaker.
