"Joseph Rigby, of 1, Alexandra Street, Stone, was conveyed to the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary in the Stone ambulance late
last night suffering from a fractured jaw, concussion and injuries to the hands. It is thought that he fell from his pedal cycle owing to the mudguard catching in
the wheel. He was, however, unable to give much account of what had occurred."
