"Albert Lewis, needle stamper, Studley, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Studley, on the 28th ult. He pleaded guilty. Sergeant Hawkes said he was sent for to eject defendant from the Public Hall, and after he had got him outside he became very violent and had to be carried the whole of the way to the police station. Defendant said he had not been into a public-house for five months, and a little overcame him. Fined 5/- and 10/6 costs, or 14 days' hard labour. Allowed a fortnight to pay."
